At Purslow Jones, our policy is always to be as transparent as possible about costs from the get-go.
Investments & Pensions
We offer a free initial meeting for all our prospective clients – this is a chance for us to get to know each other, and for us to explain exactly how we can help you.
For new clients, we charge an initial fee on all investments and pensions of 2% of the value of the investment, subject to a minimum fee of £250.
For example, if you’ve got £50,000 to invest, we will charge you 2% of the £50,000 - so £1,000. You can choose to pay that directly or we’ll deduct it from your investment.
If your investment is £10,000 – because 2% of that is £200, the actual charge will be the £250.
What can we offer you?
- We’ll get to know you and understand your circumstances and your objectives
- We’ll carry out thorough and detailed research to find you the most suitable strategy for your investments and pensions
- We’ll meet again and explain to you exactly what our recommendation is
- We’ll give you time alone to consider if this is something you definitely want to do
- Then, finally, we’ll get you to sign on the dotted line and we’ll sort out the rest
Ongoing Service
We also offer an ongoing service where we periodically review your investments, check what’s changed and whether we need to tweak anything. For this, we charge an annual fee of 0.5% of your investment.
So, if you’ve got £100,000 invested with us in your pension, over the year we’ll charge 0.5% of that amount, or £500, for continuing to manage it for you.
Mortgages & Protection
All of our mortgage and protection advice is free. Even if you change your mind and decide not to proceed with buying the house.
Like all advisers, we get paid by a procuration fee from the lender or insurer.
Estate Planning/Inheritance Tax
We offer an estate and inheritance tax planning service – meaning, we’ll look at your estate and help you plan out how you can gift elements of your estate to way that will help reduce the overall inheritance tax bill your family will need to pay.
We’re all about using legitimate ways of reducing the inheritance tax bill for your family.
For our services, we charge a set £200 an hour. This service is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
